Im a big flavor guy so controlling smoke intensity is important to me. After researching dozens of other smokers I finally settled on this one - and man Im glad I did. From the moment it arrived I could tell this was a quality product. Tight well packaged pieces in protective material easy-to-follow assembly instructions. I had fun putting this smoker together it was a breeze. Very impressed with how sturdy this smoker is. The legs are angled and solid. The walls are beefy and the grates are durable and well made. The three vent system takes some tweaking but the sweet spot is worth the small learning curve. I was quite surprised to find high-temp fiberglass insulated rope on the main cooking chamber and on one of the side chutes. This really helps keep the smoke in the chamber. You can regulate the three vents one of the vents is on the smoke stack which is really handy for how deep you want the smoke to penetrate. I kept the smoker in my garage until my BK cover arrived. The smoker is well-balanced and you can comfortably move it around thanks to durable wheels. Now on to flavor. Ive had this smoker now for a little over two months and use it about once a week. Ive already smoked beef pork and poultry salts and vinegars. What I LOVE about this smoker is that you can regulate the temp to achieve a cold smoke all the way to high temp. Although Id recommend cold smoking during cooler months. The flavor is in one word A M A Z I N G. I did a smoked chicken salad that had neighbors lined up down the street. If youre wondering about the elusive smoke ring the answer is YES although I dont have a picture of it the smoke ring on the pork loin is very evident and deep. I really love this smoker By far the best buy for the money. I buy the bigger logs and break them down into smaller pieces to help control the temp. Oh and it looks great as well and it even has a bottle opener. Prost
